  23.     I'm affraid there's not a heck of a lot you can do.  Hayes v.34
  24. modems have been a HUGE source of problems with just about every v.34
  25. modem I've run.  IMO they're amonst the worst on the market, selling
  26. purely because of their name.  For now,keep connecting with vFC, Hayes
  27. modems are better at handling vFC then v.34.  You could also try disabling
  28. the 3429 symbol rate and see if that helps any.  All in all though, you're
  29. best bet is to bitch and complain to your ISP until they realize their
  30. mistake.
